Sometimes you just want it to be you, Maybe you want to be the center of attention, to get to pick first or even just left alone.  In 'Crowded Nest' we see the lengths a little Pukeko chick will go to, to be the center of attention.
A story that deals with the difficult emotions surrounding insecurity and jealousy in a humorous way..

Original story told by me on our radio show and now in development for writing and illustrations.
Have you ever meet someone who always said no to everything they are asked or are not interested in trying new things?
I have and that is just what the little boy Sam is like in my new story 'The home-made zebra'.
Will Sam discover a new way of looking at things or will he miss out on the best party he has ever been to?
You can hear me tell the story on air in our podcast Birthdays and Surprises Show 15/06/2019.
But as you know my stories develop and grow as I draw the characters and work with the words.
Here is a question for you, what has been your favorite costume ever?

have fun x Allie

Halloween Show

On our early Halloween show I read my Poem 'A Witch A Witch' for you and here is the claymation I made with my students many years ago based on that poem. It isn't perfect but it was done in our spare-time over only 7 days, so I am still exceptionally proud of what everyone achieved. There are some funny claymation bits, like when the concrete moved..but hey...its entertainment.
Enjoy and Happy Halloween.
